'Being abandoned, on my own, and then living at a shelter was a very sad time for me. It seemed no one cared. Although I was thankful to have a warm and safe place to sleep and plenty of food and water at PAWS, it wasn't like a real home.'

| 'Carole, Marc and Michaela spotted me on the website and whether it was the look on my face, my woeful eyes, or my beautiful cinnamon color, they decided to drive to PAWS to visit me. I tried to be on my best behavior that day and I didn't bark or jump at my cage door like the other dogs. I just sat politely and hoped they liked me. After all, I needed someone to watch over me.'

| Still dealing with the loss of their little dog, Jack, who had died suddenly the day before Thanksgiving. Adopting another dog so soon - even a larger one than initially considered - was something they believed to be a "healing measure". They had a home to offer and love to share with another. Little Jack had left a forever paw print in their hearts before he left this world. Cinnamon was to get his second chance at a happy life and realize what it was like to be loved and to be part of a family.

'Meeting the other members of my family. Ziggy has seniority around here and he's let me know that in no uncertain terms! Another cat named Charlie likes to hiss at me all the time. I believe it's best to avoid all confrontations with Ziggy and Charlie. Both cats have made it clear that I'm the new kid on the block in this house and they're going to remain in charge. I'm ok with that.'

| Ziggy and Charlie.......'I think we missed the family meeting when mom & dad must have taken a vote to bring a dog into the house! Our work has just begun to teach the new kid all the rules of the house. Rule #1: Cats are always the boss. Rule #2: Never forget...there are two of us and one of you. Don't cross us.'

Micheala and Cinnamon get along like a true brother and sister. Michaela even refers to Cinnamon as her "little brother". Cinnamon on the other hand, thinks of Michaela as another puppy. Although, Cinnamon knows some commands, he needs to work on not jumping up around her. After all, Cinnamon out-weighs her. All part of that endless puppy energy.
