Being a little guy on your own is never a very good thing. Kelly was found as a stray on Kelly Street and that's how he got his name. He was brought to PAWS Humane Society after being spotted roaming the streets by himself. No one could believe that no one called looking for him or to claim him.

| Kristie, one of the PAWS volunteers and board member, had been looking for a Christmas present for her mom and dad. Kelly seemed like the perfect gift! Robert and Kaye had lost their beloved little dog and had said "no more dogs" because as Kay says, "it's so hard to loose them". Well, that changed when Kristie brought Kay out to the shelter and Kelly walked right up to Kay as if he knew her. Kay has battled some of her own health problems, but helping a little dog in need of a loving home seemed like the right thing to do.

'My family says I'm spoiled, but I don't think so! Dad works long hours at times, so I keep my mom company and I watch over her. I lay on the bed with her when she needs to rest. I'm her little guardian angel. (Don't tell dad about the bed thing!)'

'Of course, when I'm not strolling, I like to hide treats all over the house. If someone spots me hiding them, I just keep moving them around. My favorite food is people food though and I don't hide that!.'
