Pat and Merle weren't really looking for a cat to adopt. They had never owned a cat before. All that changed when they spotted Sassy at PAWS Humane Society. Merle is a volunteer at PAWS and usually spends his time exercising the dogs. Something caught their attention with Sassy.

Sassy now lives a wonderful life in her new home. One might come to the conclusion upon visiting Sassy, that she owns the house and just lets Pat and Merle live there with her!

Sassy has a little bit of an attitude. She won't let Pat or Merle hold her on their laps - unless of course, it's her idea! Where does Miss Sassy sit? Any where she wants to! :)

Sassy is not a young cat. She lived for many years with her previous owner. It only proves that our senior citizen pets that sit within so many shelters, can make very good companions regardless of their age.

Thanks to Pat and Merle, Sassy got another chance in life to live in a loving home. These wonderful people not only opened their home, but also their hearts to a sassy cat named Sassy that truly needed them and their love. We at PAWS wish Sassy and her family the very best for a happy life together.
