Taffy was beaten, tormented by the family's children, tied outside for prolonged periods of time, and fed moldy food. She suffered from seizures and a chronic ear infection that went untreated. She had a miserable life and yet her love of people never diminished.

A call went out to our webmaster of www.pawsonline.org. Chris had been thinking about adopting a dog and this one seemed perfect for him. After sadly losing his dog named Jack a few months earlier of cardiac arrest, it was a commitment Chris had to give some thought to.

| A home visit was arranged and Chris spent the weekend with Taffy getting acquainted. The decision was made...Taffy was going to get a new home and a new life that she so deserved.

| What a wonderful and different life Taffy was beginning. 'This is my new yard. I don't have to be tied with a chain anymore. I love chasing all the rabbits and birds out of my yard. I have lots and lots of space to run.'

| Taffy now takes medication twice a day to control her seizures. She has gained weight, her teeth are white, her eyes bright and her coat shiny. She continues to love everyone she meets and is just a very kind hearted - gentle Golden. A Golden with a heart of gold!
